VIOLENT STORM Sign Taiwanese Record Deal
March 7, 2005VIOLENT STORM, the new band formed by ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN/BLACKMORE'S NIGHT bassist Mick Cervino, have just signed a licensing deal with Rock Empire Music and Screaming Shout Records in Taiwan, republic of China. The group's debut album will be released in Taiwan on June 1. The Japanese release will take place on May 25 via King Records. Rock Empire will also release Mick Cervino's "Ostinato" bass solo album in Taiwan on May 1.
As previously reported, singer Matt Reardon recently finished laying down the vocals for VIOLENT STORM's debut album. Hailing from the U.S., Reardon's roots are said to be in "metal, grunge and rock and roll of today." His "deep and unadulterated raw powerful baratone vocals can be heard on over 60 soundtracks to date worldwide. He has also toured in Europe with his former band as guests for acts such as QUEENSRŸCHE, SAXON, IN EXTREMO and Steven Adler of GUNS N' ROSES." The group's sound is described as "a sonic barrage of stunning vocals, ripping guitars, relentless bass, and pounding drums, anchored around solid songwriting you won't soon forget."
